GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR JAPAN TOURS

Tour Price:  Price is per person.  Price is based on current tariffs and are subject to change.

Tour Price Includes: Tour price includes air fare as per itinerary, hotel accommodations with twin and double bedded rooms and bath, meals where mentioned, sightseeing by air-conditioned motorcoach, entrance fees to all places specified in the itinerary, porterage of one suitcase per person.  Tour price does not include any International Airport Departure taxes, due to fluctuation in the monetary exchange system, optional sightseeing excursions or tips to guide and drivers.  We will, however, collect the taxes and tips from you on the final billing.  On all tours, tips to the Royal Adventure escort is not included and left to your discretion.

Deposit & Payment:  An initial deposit of $200 check/cash per person must accompany your reservation request to hold space on this tour.  The balance of the tour cost is due upon receipt of your final billing which you should receive approximately 12 weeks prior to your departure date.  Payments by check or cash only are accepted (no credit card), since this is an exclusive, custom-designed Royal Adventure Travel tour.

Royal Adventure Travel, Inc. will send you a letter confirming receipt of your deposit.  Land and/or Air prices are subject to change without notice should the airlines and/or land operator rates change.  Please advise us immediately if you are purchasing “land only” arrangements and let us know of your own air arrangements.  Tickets are subject to airline penalties and restrictions.  Be advised, some tickets are non-refundable and changes will not be permitted.

We reserve the right to change airline carriers with or without notice.

Once the tour is guaranteed a partial payment will be requested.  A final invoice will be mailed to you approximately 12 weeks before departure with the balance of payment due within 7 days upon receipt of the statement.

Accommodations:  Please note that hotels are equipped with two beds, or one double bed, with bath.  Triple accommodations may have two double beds, one double with a single, or one double with a roll-away bed.  If you are a single traveler and wish to share room accommodations, we must accept your application as a single.  If a suitable roommate can be found, the difference will be refunded to you.  

Cancellations:  Royal Adventure Travel, Inc. reserves the right to cancel any tour that fails to have a sufficient number of tour members.  This decision is at the sole discretion of Royal Adventure Travel, Inc.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing.  Cancellations within 120 to 90 days prior to departure the deposit is non-refundable.  89 to 60 days prior to departure is subject to a cancellation fee or 25% of the total tour price, per person.

Every effort will be made to recover monies for cancellation within 60 days of departure, less any nonrefundable expenses and fees.  We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance.

Travel Insurance:  We highly recommend travel insurance for all tour members on our escorted tours to protect you form cancellation penalties.  Please note that many airlines and tour operators make no exception for cancellations due to low bulk air fares.  Please contact your travel consultant or your Tour Specialist for insurance protection coverage.

Responsibility: Royal Adventure Travel, Inc. acts solely in the capacity of an agent on behalf of its tour patrons, in arranging for transportation, lodging, sightseeing, and any other services, and as such, is not responsible for any damage, loss, delay, injury, or accident due to any act or default on the part of any company or person engaged in providing transportation, lodging, sightseeing, or other services which are a part of this tour.  Rates quoted are based on tariffs current at time of printing and are subject to changes therein at or before time of final payment.  Royal Adventure Travel, Inc. expressly reserves the right to withdraw any tour or to make any change in such tour, with or without notice, that may become necessary, including substitution for accommodations or transportation.  No carrier with whom transportation shall be arranged in connection with this tour shall have or incur any responsibility or liability to any person taking the tour except its liability as a common carrier.
