| Royal Adventure Travel is a family owned business established in 1976. President Ted Takai Jr. is a 1959 graduate of Roosevelt and married the former Sarah K. Makekau of Lahaina. Children are Michelle, Ted III, and Derek, all who worked for the travel agency during their Punahou school years. Michelle is currently a lawyer in Honolulu and Derek is a dentist in Honolulu. Only Ted III remains active with the company. Graduating in 1995 with a business degree from the University of Washington, Ted III today is in charge of Marketing and Sales and manages the Central office on Koapaka Street near the airport. Royal Adventure Travel serves the people of Hawaii faithfully through its dedicated travel consultants. In addition to providing the best air fares with bulk contracts to all corners of the globe, Royal Adventure Travel operates a Wholesale Department, Cruise Department and Tour Department specializing in escorted tours and cruises and independent travel packages.
