Day 1 - Friday, September 26     HONOLULU / BOSTON , MASSACHUSETTS

Leave Honolulu via air for our overnight flight to Boston .

Day 2 - Saturday, September 27            BOSTON

We arrive in Boston this morning. Welcome to “ Bean Town .” Our motorcoach takes us to Quincy Market for shopping and lunch. Our afternoon tour with a local guide will focus on the city’s most prominent landmarks, including many historic and other more contemporary sights.

Day 3 - Sunday, September 28       BOSTON / VERMONT ( GREEN MOUNTAINS )

Today we depart Boston and travel on to the " Green Mountain State ” of Vermont riding through the rolling countryside with its breathtaking fall foliage. Our first stop is to the picturesque Quechee Gorge village. Quechee Gorge is affectionately known as the "Grand Canyon of Vermont." We see Vermont ’s capital as we enter Montpelier on our way to the Morse Farm to learn the art of producing maple sugar. Overnight in Barre.

Day 4 - Monday, September 29     VERMONT / NEW HAMPSHIRE / PORTLAND , MAINE

Autumn colors take on its full splendor today as we travel through the White Mountains of New Hampshire. A stop at an old fashioned general store in Bath which offers "everything from soup to nuts" and a nearby covered bridge is in store for us. We then enjoy a thrilling aerial tram ride on Cannon Mountain to enjoy the majestic mountains of New Hampshire from a high vantage point. Then we take a short invigorating stroll to gaze at what remains of the Old Man of the Mountains, the icon of New Hampshire .  We then travel along renowned Kancamagus Highway to admire the awesome colors of fall. We depart New Hampshire and arrive in South Portland for our overnight stay.

Day 5 - Tuesday, September 30   PORTLAND / ACADIA NATIONAL PARK / BAR HARBOR

We travel north along the coast of Maine to the quaint seaside town of Bar Harbor . On the way we make a short visit to Camden , fondly referred to as the "Jewel of the Maine Coast ." You're in for a special treat: arts and crafts shops along the street and a typical New England church overlooking Camden Harbor , creating a festive air as well as an unsurpassed opportunity to do some great gift shopping for friends back home. Then it’s on to Bar Harbor for lunch and a little more great shopping before our tour of Acadia National Park , one of the most popular national parks in America . Our guided tour takes us to the most scenic points in the park and Mount Desert Island . We spend some time exploring and spend the night in Bar Harbor .

Day 6 - Wednesday, October 1      BAR HABOR / CAMPOBELLO ISLAND / ST JOHN / NEW BRUNSWICK

Today we travel further along the rugged coastline of Maine to Canada . This morning we drive through acres of wild blueberries growing naturally in fields and barrens that stretch from down east to Maine 's southwest corner. We tour the summer estate of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Campobello International Park We then enter the Province of New Brunswick, Canada and travel to Saint John . Here we may be able to observe the phenomenon of the Reversing Falls which is created by the tremendous rise and fall of the tides in the Bay of Fundy . Overnight in St. John .

Day 7 - Thursday, October 2      ST JOHN / BAY OF FUNDY / HALIFAX , NOVA SCOTIA

Today we drive through the Fundy National Park where the highest tides in the world can be found. We travel the coast to see the Hopewell Rocks created over thousands of years by the Bay of Fundy 's awesome tidal forces. Then we travel on to Halifax , Nova Scotia and arrive there in the late afternoon. Tonight you may want to try your luck at the casino and/or join your escort in exploring places for dinner at the many restaurants within walking distance of our hotel.

Day 8 - Friday, October 3                HALIFAX

We can take a refreshing early morning walk in the Public Gardens with our escort. This morning is spent sightseeing the city of Halifax with a local guide. The tour includes the Citadel, the final resting place of those who lost their lives aboard the Titanic, the site of the explosion that rocked the city of Halifax and other points of interest. Following the tour we travel to Peggy's Cove, where we find one of the most photographed lighthouses in Atlantic Canada. You may want to mail a postcard from the post office in the lighthouse which will bear the postmark of Peggy’s Cove. After lunch and sightseeing we return to Halifax to enjoy shopping or tempting Lady Luck again at the casino.

Day 9 - Saturday, October 4    HALIFAX / CHARLOTTETOWN , PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND

We take the ferry departing Caribou, Nova Scotia for Wood Island , Prince Edward Island as we head for Charlottetown to begin our tour of the island. A tour with the local guide includes the capital city of Charlottetown , the storybook Green Gable House in Cavendish, made famous by Lucy Maud Montgomery in her cherished novel Anne of Green Gables, Prince Edward Island National Park and other sights that make Prince Edward Island special. Tonight will be spent in Charlottetown .

Day 10 - Sunday, October 5     CHARLOTTETOWN / GRAND FALLS , NEW BRUNSWICK

We leave Prince Edward Island via the new Confederation Bridge , the longest continuous span bridge in the Western Hemisphere , to the coast of New Brunswick . We stop in Moncton to visit the Magnetic Hill, a strange phenomenon that seems to be playing tricks on our senses. We journey north along the scenic St. John River . In Hartland we walk across the longest covered bridge in Canada and continue to Grand Falls for our overnight stay.

Day 11 - Monday, October 6         GRAND FALLS / QUEBEC CITY , QUEBEC  

Before we get to Quebec City we have much to see.  We visit the Grand Falls Gorge to see how the powerful forces of nature have carved the land.  Then we go on the Riveire-du-Loup for a short stroll among the colorful leaves of fall.  This is a good time to pick a few bright orange maple leaves for a souvenir. We then continue traveling along the Trans-Canada Highway to the majestic, walled section of Old Quebec City. Old Quebec reflects the old world charm of another era with ancient stone houses huddled beside churches and historic monuments. After lunch we take a guided tour of the city viewing the mighty St. Lawrence Seaway , the Parliament building, Old Quebec City, and many other sights. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy the quaint streets, with their many cafes and shops.

Day 12 - Tuesday, October 7         QUEBEC CITY

This morning we travel east to visit the beautiful St. Anne de Beaupre, a beautiful basilica dedicated to the grandmother of Jesus.  Stories are told of the frail and handicapped who have been cured on their pilgrimages to this cathedral.  Evidence of abandoned crutches is left forever on the columns inside the church.  We stop briefly at Chez Marie to see an old fashioned stone oven which is still used to bake bread the old fashioned way.  We take a few minutes to enjoy samples of the bread and other homemade preserves.   Our following visit is to Montmorency Falls , which is higher that the Niagara Falls. As you stand near the falls, you can feel a light mist created by the tremendous power of the cascading waters. An opportunity to enjoy this fabulous city and its quant ambiance in our leisure time allows us to explore the “wall” of the only walled city in North America and shop. 

Day 13 – Wednesday, October 8         QUEBEC CITY / MONTREAL

This morning we travel along the scenic St. Lawrence River to Cap de la Madeleine , a beautiful basilica on the banks of the St. Lawrence Seaway . It is said this is another place of miracles. Then it’s on to exciting Montreal . Your afternoon is free to shop at the underground Montreal malls with the help of your escort. Overnight in Montreal.

Day 14 - Thursday, October 9        MONTREAL / LA SUCRERIE DELA MONTAGNE / SOUTH BURLINGTON, VERMONT

This morning we enjoy a guided tour of cosmopolitan Montreal with its French atmosphere. After the tour we travel on to Rigaud, where a special treat awaits us. Amidst the trees, in a forest of brilliant color, we ride a horse-drawn wagon to La Sucrerie dela Montagne’s banquet hall where we savor a traditional Canadian Quebecois feast and enjoy an afternoon of festive entertainment.  After lunch we travel on to the border to re-enter the United States .  We start our drive into the Champlain Valley, a region of the United States around Lake Chaplain in Vermont and New York. It is also the most heavily populated region in Vermond, broadly stretching eastward from the lake's shore to the spine of the Green Mountains. Our day ends in Burlington where we have accommodations in the heart of town. In april 1997, Burlingtonreceived the "great American Main Street Award" from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The award honors efforts to revitalize downtowns. Burlington has also been ranked as one of the "hippest arts towns in America " by John Villani in her book The 100 Best Small Art Towns, 1997.

Day 15 - Friday, October 10             BURLINGTON / BENNINGTON / STOCKBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS / TARRYTOWN, NEW YORK

This morning we continue our southward travel to areas dotted with charming small towns and stunning scenery offering quiet rural charm. We stop for lunch and then continue to Bennington for an exciting challenge. In 1998 The Apple Barn and Country Bake Shop introduced confield mazes which has attracted over 70,000 visitors and the attention of both local and national media including Good Morning America, The Travel Channel, Ron Hazelton's House Calls and the The food Networks $40 a Day. We then go on to the quaint town of Stockbridge for a memorable visit to the Norman Rockwell Museum, featuring an in-depth collection of his famous Saturday Evening Post covers. Afternoon we continue our drive south to Tarrytown where we spend the night.

Day 16 - Saturday, October 11          TARRYTOWN / NEW YORK CITY

This morning we will be heading into New York City where we begin our day with a tour of the most populated city in America .  After lunch we will have a guided tour of the city.  In the evening you may choose to join your escort to enjoy the city lights with a stroll through Midtown Manhattan, take in a show, or enjoy the view from atop the Empire State building. We spend tonight in the heart of New York City.

Day 17 – Sunday, October 142       NEW YORK CITY / HONOLULU

Our escorted tour comes to an end as we transfer to the airport for our return flight to Honolulu .
