Day 1 – Thursday       HONOLULU / MAINLAND U.S.A.

Leave Honolulu via air on an overnight flight to the mainland.

Day 2 - Friday             MAINLAND U.S.A.

We arrive on the mainland and transfer to an airport hotel for accommodations.

Day 3 – Saturday                    MAINLAND U.S.A. / LONDON ( ENGLAND )

Today we continue via air over the Atlantic to Europe .

Day 4 - Sunday                                   LONDON

We arrive in London in the morning and transfer to our hotel.  The balance of the day is at leisure to familiarize yourself with the city, or join your Royal Adventure Travel escort and visit Harrod’s Department store and the famous food court If time permits, how about a ride on the London Eye, the largest ferris wheel in the world with a spectacular view of the city?

Day 5 - Monday                                   LONDON

Full breakfast.  Our morning tour includes all the famous landmarks:  Royal Albert Hall, Kensington’s splendid museums, Chelsea, Knightbridge with Harrods, the Houses of Parliament, and Big Ben beside the River Thames.  Highlights are a visit to St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace , if held.  Time in the afternoon for independent activities.  Optional excursions are available to the Tower of London and to Windsor Castle .  In September, Buckingham Palace is open to the public. Tonight perhaps a leisurely cruise on the River Thames after a dinner at a local restaurant?

Day 6 – Tuesday              LONDON / BRUSSELS / BELGIUM / AMSTERDAM ( HOLLAND )

Full breakfast.  This morning we transfer to London ’s Waterloo International Station to board the ultra-modern Eurostar train to Brussels , Belgium .  From here a comfortable drive will bring you to Amsterdam , Holland .  Dinner included.

Day 7 - Wednesday                            AMSTERDAM

Buffet breakfast.  We join up with a local expert and head first to the Rijks Museum where you admire Rembrandt’s masterpieces.  Also watch the cutting and polishing of precious stones at a Diamond Factory.  And to top it all, cruise aboard a glass-roofed launch through the canals of Holland ’s Golden Age.  The afternoon is at leisure, and an excursion to Volendam can be arranged.  Included in this optional is a visit to a working windmill, cheese factory, wooden shoes demonstration and a typical Dutch dinner.

Day 8  - Thursday                               AMSTERDAM / RHINELAND ( GERMANY )

Buffet breakfast.  This morning we have a passing glance at the Dutch region, best known as the locale of “A Bridge Too Far,” on the way to Germany .  The highlight of a lunch break in Cologne is a visit to the awesome twins-spired Gothic Cathedral.  For the energetic it is possible to climb on of the towers with a spectacular view of the city.  In the afternoon board an excursion steamer and cruise on the romantic Rhine , past castle-crested cliffs, terraced vineyards, and trim half-timbered towns.  Later take in the sweeping view from of Heidelberg ’s red-walled castle.  Dinner included. 

Day 9 - Friday                                     RHINELAND / LUCERNE ( SWITZERLAND )

Buffet breakfast.  We leave for the lush valleys and pine-clad hills of the Black Forest , with a visit to Triberg, renowned for its cuckoo clocks.  On the Swiss border, take pictures of the thundering Rhine Falls, then continue to picture-book Lucerne .  For a first-hand impression of alpine merrymaking, sign up for an optional folklore party with yodeling and alphorn blowing tonight.  Dinner included.  Join your Royal Adventure escort for a walk along Lake Lucerne , meander through cobble stoned streets of old town and perhaps sit down for one of Austria ’s famous desserts.

Day 10  - Saturday                              LUCERNE / LIECHTENSTEIN / INNSBRUCK ( AUSTRIA )

Buffet breakfast.  This morning we visit the Lion Monument , a masterful stone sculpture in honor of the heroic Swiss Guard of Louis XVI; famous covered Wooden Bridge; and ornate patrician houses of the walled Old Town .  Time afterwards to shop for Swiss watches or climb lofty Mount Pilatus by rack-railway.  If you are not an avid shopper, how about taking some time to walk to the ancient walls, climb one of the tower and walk along the wall for a magnificent view of the city.  After lunch, leave Switzerland to visit the pocket-sized principality of Liechtenstein , known for its fancy postage stamps.  A short drive to Inssbruck in the Austrian Tyrol, then a stroll through quaint medieval lanes to Emperor Maximillian’s Golden Roof.  Dinner included.

Day 11 – Sunday                    INNSBRUCK / VENICE ( ITALY )

Buffet breakfast.  The spectacular Brenner Pass leads through the barrier of the Tyrolean Alps to Italy .  Enter Venice in style as we glide by private boat through ancient canals.  Highlights of our walking tour are St. Mark’s Square, the Clock Tower, the Byzantine Basilica with its 1,000-year-old gem studded gold alter piece, lavish Doges’ Palace, and the Bridge of Sighs.  Also watch skilled Glass Blowers fashion their delicate objects.  Please ask your escort if you must have authentic Mirano beads, there is a store in St. Mark’s Square that sells them.  Time afterwards to wander leisurely or join an optional gondola serenade.  Dinner included.

Day 12 - Monday                     VENICE / ROME

Buffet breakfast.  A kaleidoscope of Italian landscapes parades past on the way through the fertile plains of the mighty River Po and across the wooded Etruscan Apennine mountain range.  An exciting detour then takes us off the highway into the vine and olive clad Tuscan hills around Greve, home of the popular Chianti wines.  We continue south along the Highway of the Sun to the Eternal City .  Tonight is our first opportunity to see the Rome lit up on an optional trip that includes a typical Italian dinner and a chance to toss a coin in the Trevi fountain (Remember the movie, Three Coins in the Fountain?).

Day 13 - Tuesday                               ROME

Buffet breakfast.  This morning, sightseeing starts with vistas of the beautiful Piazza Venezia and the Roman Forum; visit the Colosseum to hear about gladiatorial combats and early Christian martyrdom; proceed via Circus Maximus and across the Tiber to Janiculum Hill for the panoramic view; finally visit monumental St. Peter’s Square and Basilica.  Time afterwards for independent activities.  How about an optional excursion to Tivoli for a walk in the lavish gardens of Villa d’Este and an Italian feast at one of the resort’s fine restaurants?

Day 14 - Wednesday              ROME / TUSCANY

Buffet breakfast.  An easy morning drive back north to Florence , cradle of the Renaissance.  We see magnificent Santa Maria Del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell Tower , the Baptistry’s heavy bronze “Gate of Paradise,” and sculptured-studded Signoria Square .  To top it off, admire Michelangelo’s celebrated David in the Gallery of Fine Arts.  Later we’ll have time to check out the enticing shops with Florentine leather goods and gold jewelry.  Dinner included.

Day 15 - Thursday                              TUSCANY / MONACO / NICE ( FRANCE )

Buffet breakfast.  This morning we focus on Pisa for pictures of its amazing Leaning Tower , 180 feet high and 16 feet out of the perpendicular.  Then take a scenic drive past a string of Italian and French Riviera resorts to the principality of Monaco .  Leave the highway for the panoramic Moyenne Corniche.  Before arriving in Nice, take a break in Eze to visit one of the Perfume Factories for which the area is famous.  Optional outing tonight to the Casino of Monte Carlo to see the palace of Prince Ranier and the church where he and Princess Grace were married.  Included in our outing is dinner in a narrow cobble stoned street just walking distance from the palace.

Day 16 – Friday                                               NICE / PARIS

Buffet breakfast.  We leave via the speedy TGV train to Paris .  This afternoon we have time to explore Paris and do our last minute shopping.

Day 17 - Saturday                                PARIS

Buffet breakfast.  Enjoy the sights on both banks of the Seine :  Arc de Triomphe, Opera, Madeleine, Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral, Champs-Elysees.  For a bird’s-eye view, take the elevator to the second floor to the Eiffel Tower .  Balance of the day at leisure.  Optional excursions are available to the Louvre or to the palace and gardens of Versailles (closed on Mondays).  To celebrate the success

of our tour, an optional French gourmet dinner followed by a lively cabaret show may be just the ticket.

Day 18 - Sunday                     PARIS / CONTINENTAL U.S.A. / HONOLULU

Buffet breakfast.  We leave Paris via air to the continental U.S.A. and continue to Honolulu .  If connecting flight is unavailable, we spend the night at an airport hotel on the mainland at an additional cost.

Please retain your ticket copy and boarding passes in the event you need them later for proof of your flights (to accumulate frequent flyer miles, for example).  We are unable to supply ticket copies after your return.
